Katie marquette

Katie is the co-founder of MediaMarq and has over a decade of audio and producing experience, getting her start at an independent radio program called Interfaith Voices, a show that brought together people of different religious traditions for discussion and debate. The show generated genuine connections, powerful storytelling, and even changed some minds. Having seen firsthand the power of an audio medium, she became intent on pursuing a career in producing.

She went on to work for Baltimore’s NPR station, 88.1 WYPR where she worked on a number of local programs, was a production assistant for the award-winning show, Out of the Blocks, and was featured in Baltimore Magazine’s ‘Best of Baltimore’ for producing Future City hosted by (now) Governor Wes Moore. She served as a Judge for the Edgar Allan Poe Saturday Visitor Awards, was a panelist for podcast production during Baltimore’s Innovation Week, and served on the station’s internal podcasting committee. As a freelance audio producer and editor, she has worked for NPR member stations, PRX, independent shows, The Goethe Institut, and the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, among others. In 2021, she launched her successful theology/arts podcast, Born of Wonder (now in its 7th season).
